Women are invited to join Jung Women's Study Group:

The Jung women's study group meets 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the first and third Monday of every month unless there is a major holiday or weather-related issue. The next meeting is Monday, October 20, 2025, in the Mission Room upstairs in Trinity Center at 371 Delaware Avenue, next door to Trinity Episcopal Church. The group is open and flexible; people come and go as their schedules allow. Please feel free to join the meeting even if you do not have a book as the material is read aloud then discussed. A $5 donation helps support the local Jung Center and is much appreciated.

The group is going to begin reading and discussing Moonlit Path: Reflections on the Dark Feminine, edited by Fred Gustafson who is a Jungian analyst (2003 anthology). The "Dark Feminine" has emerged as an archetype that refers to the shadow side of the feminine which holds primal energy and power, embodying aspects that might be repressed or framed in a negative light, especially by the surrounding culture. Mystery, intuition and other elements connected to the earth are often associated with this part of the feminine. "Dark" does not necessarily refer to something that is evil, weak or bad though there can be a destructive side. The untamed power of the Dark Feminine contrasts with the "lighter" more idealized aspect of the feminine that is associated with nurturing, kindness and forgiveness.

Those interested in meeting for dinner are invited to join others at 5:30 in Cafe 59 on the corner of Allen and Franklin Streets. They have a creative menu which offers a wide variety of delicious options.

For more information, contact Lisa Kruger at [email protected] or 716-479-9325. If the door is locked, please call so we can open the door.

Hope to see you soon.
